Episode #32: Say You Appreciate Your Supporters
Step away from auto-pilot to say thank you to someone today.
Dear Readers,
My goal is to get to 52 episodes - one post for each week in a year. I’ve divided my goal into three writing “sprints” over the course of two years. After today’s post, this sprint has two episodes left (the first sprint covered Episodes #1-17 and concluded December 16, 2021).
As I wind down this cycle I wanted to take a moment to say how much I appreciate my readers. Some of my readers I know, others of you I do not know, but whether or not I know you it’s important that I take a moment to say how much I appreciate your readership.
I really, really, appreciate having you as my reader.
An audience is one of the most difficult things to find. Having real-life (not imaginary!) people who read, comment, and like my posts both humbles and encourages me to continue the project.
So, if you haven’t been thanked today, know that I am grateful to you.
In the final two episodes of this cycle’s sprint here is what I will cover:
Episode #33: Say What You Want
I’ll ask you what you liked about the posts from this cycle and take suggestions for things you’d like to hear about in the next sprint. Consider this a little friendly homework:by next week think of something you’d like to know more about
. Of particular interest are communication struggles you have at work, connecting with clients, customers, colleagues, or in your personal life.Episode #34: Survey Says….!
In the final post for this sprint I’ll report back what I learned from your feedback and wish you all a happy and safe summer.
Many of us are mired in work right now: as the pandemic transformed into endemic and the world decided to return to a yet-to-be defined new-normal, our workloads became overloads. Many of us haven’t seen friends and family as much as we would like to and feel that we are more or less in an autopilot that’s going full-steam ahead.
Find the fun in your work, if you can, and remember to take a second to say thanks to the people who support you by helping to make your life a little easier, a little more tolerable, and little more entertaining.
They are there, I promise! 😊
See you next Thursday.
Sincerely,
Dr. Craig
